1.  Preliminary

  • By receiving a quote prior to the commencement of services, you enter into a legally binding contract with A1 Removalists Sydney Pty Ltd (ABN: 30 606 441 614) and its affiliated contractors. You confirm that you have the authority to engage our services on behalf of all individuals involved, and that each such person is bound by these terms and conditions.
  • These terms apply to all services provided by A1 Removalists Sydney, including but not limited to removals, storage, and packing services.

2.  Information & Service Allocation

  • We rely on all information provided by you or any authorised party acting on your behalf for the purpose of quoting and performing services. You certify that all such information is accurate and complete.
  • Prior to quoting and providing services, you must:
    • Provide an accurate description of the volume and nature of goods to be transported or stored.
    • Notify us in writing of any items that:
      • Exceed 100kg, such as pianos, safes, gym equipment, or specialty items. These items require specialised manpower, tools, and handling, and will incur additional charges.
      • Are considered hazardous, as A1 Removalists Sydney does not transport dangerous goods.

  • You accept that failure to disclose relevant information (including stairs, restricted access, or heavy items) may result in service delays or refusal without liability to A1 Removalists Sydney.

3.  Rights & Care

  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason, including but not limited to the nature, weight, or value of the goods.

  • All scheduled times are approximate, and while we endeavour to adhere to them, we are not liable for delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Goods must be properly packed to withstand transportation risks unless A1 Removalists Sydney is contracted to package them for you.
  • If any information provided is inaccurate, we reserve the right to adjust service execution or pricing accordingly.

  • You must ensure that pick-up and delivery premises are safe, clean, and accessible for our personnel. A1 Removalists Sydney is not liable for damage arising from unsafe or obstructed access.
  • You authorise us to take reasonable steps (including disassembly or maneuvering) to remove or deliver items, and you accept associated risk of minor cosmetic

4.  Customer Responsibilities

  • Breach of any customer warranty entitles A1 Removalists Sydney to suspend or terminate the service without liability and to recover reasonable costs incurred.

5.  Removal Services

  • A1 Removalists Sydney is not a common carrier and assumes no liability as
  • You or an authorised representative must be present during pick-up and delivery to ensure that all goods are accounted for.
  • If we are unable to complete the delivery due to inaccessibility or lack of an authorised recipient, we may return, store, or reattempt delivery at your expense.
  • Items over 100kg, including pianos and large furniture, must be disclosed at booking and will incur additional fees. Any damage occurring to undisclosed items is at the customer’s full risk.
  • In cases requiring non-standard moving methods (e.g., balcony lifts, cranes), additional charges will apply.
  • You must ensure that necessary access points, including loading docks and elevators, are available for our use.
  • We take reasonable care to avoid property damage; however, we are not liable for marks, scratches, or damage to walls, floors, or fixtures that are inherent in moving large or heavy items through confined spaces.
  • Where goods require dismantling or assembly, A1 Removalists Sydney may perform this service at your request, and you accept the risk of manufacturer warranty
  • All fragile or high-value items must be clearly labelled prior to moving; otherwise, they are moved at your own risk.

6. Storage Services

  • Storage fees will continue to accrue on a daily basis if goods remain in storage beyond the agreed period, and A1 Removalists Sydney may withhold release of goods until all fees and charges are paid in full.
  • Customers must provide a minimum of 72 hours’ written notice to retrieve stored goods. Urgent retrieval requests may incur an additional handling charge.
  • A1 Removalists Sydney will take reasonable care of goods in storage; however, we are not liable for loss, theft, damage, deterioration, vermin, moisture, mould, rust, or any event outside our reasonable control.
  • A1 Removalists Sydney maintains a general storage insurance policy providing coverage up to $150,000 total liability per storage facility. However, this policy does not extend to individual customer claims exceeding $1,000 per item or $5,000 per consignment, whichever is less.
  • Please note that storage insurance is not automatically included with your moving quote. The standard insurance already included — such as Goods in Transit Insurance and Public Liability Insurance — applies only to transportation-related activities and does not  cover  items       held          in                  If you require insurance coverage during storage, you must contact A1 Removalists Sydney directly to obtain a separate storage insurance quotation, as different rates and conditions apply.
  • Customers acknowledge that this insurance may not cover their specific items or the full replacement value, and it is the customer’s responsibility to obtain their own comprehensive insurance for high-value, fragile, or unique items.
  • By storing goods with A1 Removalists Sydney, customers release and indemnify the company, its directors, employees, and contractors from any liability, cost, or claim arising out of damage, loss, or theft, except to the extent directly caused by proven negligence of A1 Removalists Sydney.
  • Customers must disclose the estimated total value of stored goods and any single item exceeding $1,000 in value prior to Failure to disclose such items releases A1 Removalists Sydney from all related liability.
  • Storage may be terminated by either party with 14 days’ written If payment is not received within 30 days of invoice, A1 Removalists Sydney may, after written notice, sell or dispose of stored goods to recover outstanding charges in accordance with applicable law.

7.  Additional Services

  • Standard removal services do not include packing or unpacking. These services must be requested separately and will incur additional charges.
  • Cleaning services, if provided, do not guarantee stain removal or bond
  • Packing materials remain the property of A1 Removalists Sydney until payment is received in full.
  • Additional services (such as furniture assembly, rubbish removal, or cleaning) are provided strictly “as is” and exclude any warranty of outcome.

8.  Payments & Charges

  • Services are charged based on half-hour increments unless otherwise
  • Payment for local moves is due one hour before job completion, while payment for interstate moves must be made at the pick-up location before departure.
  • Additional fees may apply for factors such as stairs, long walking distances, tolls, and difficult access points.
  • A 2% surcharge applies to Visa and MasterCard
  • For local moves, deposits are non-refundable if cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice. For interstate moves, deposits are non-refundable if cancelled with less than 72 hours’ notice.
  • All charges are exclusive of GST and will be added
  • If third-party costs arise during the service (e.g., parking fees, additional equipment hire), you are responsible for reimbursement.
  • If a scheduled service date is changed at the customer’s request, additional fees may apply.
  • Unpaid balances may be referred to a collection agency, with legal and collection costs borne by the customer.
  • Late payments attract interest at 10% per annum, calculated daily until payment is received.
  • You agree to pay all reasonable legal, administrative, and collection costs incurred by A1 Removalists Sydney in recovering overdue amounts.
  • Any dispute over charges must be raised in writing within five (5) business days of invoice. Failure to do so constitutes acceptance of the invoice.

9.  Liability & Insurance

  • A1 Removalists Sydney is not an insurer of any goods. The customer bears the risk of loss or damage except as expressly stated in these terms.
  • A1 Removalists Sydney provides limited insurance cover of up to $250,000 in aggregate liability across all operations (not per customer). Customers are strongly advised to arrange their own comprehensive insurance to cover the full replacement value of their goods.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, A1 Removalists Sydney, its employees, and contractors will not be liable for:
  • Any indirect, consequential, or economic loss (including loss of profit, revenue, or enjoyment);
  • Loss or damage caused by accidents, weather, fire, flood, theft, vermin, or inherent vice;
  • Damage to items NOT professionally packed by A1 Removalists
  • Damage arising from pre-existing defects or insufficient packaging;
  • Delay in delivery or storage retrieval;
  • Any loss where the customer failed to obtain adequate
    • The customer indemnifies and holds harmless A1 Removalists Sydney, its employees, and contractors from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of or in connection with the goods, except to the extent caused by the company’s proven
    • Any claims for loss or damage must be reported before the driver departs the delivery site. Claims raised thereafter or beyond 24 hours of delivery will not be
    • Where liability is accepted, it is limited to the lower of the depreciated value of the item or $100 per item, whichever is less.
    • No employee, agent, or contractor of A1 Removalists Sydney has authority to accept liability or make binding representations on behalf of the company unless expressly confirmed in writing by a company director.

10.  Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of job
  • Compensation is assessed on a case-by-case basis and is limited to the depreciated value of the item.
  • Legal proceedings will be governed by New South Wales,
  • Both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution of any dispute through direct negotiation before commencing legal proceedings.
  • If unresolved, either party may refer the dispute to a community justice centre or mediation service prior to court action.

11.  Limitation of Liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, A1 Removalists Sydney’s total cumulative liability for all claims, losses, or damages arising from or related to its services shall not exceed the total fees paid by the customer for the specific job giving rise to the claim.

12.  General Provisions

  • These terms constitute the full agreement and supersede all prior

13.  Customer Acknowledgment

  • By engaging A1 Removalists Sydney, you acknowledge and agree that:
  • A1 Removalists Sydney’s insurance provides only limited coverage and may not fully compensate for loss or damage;
  • You have been advised to obtain your own insurance to protect your property;
  • You release A1 Removalists Sydney from liability for uninsured losses; and
  • You have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions prior to service
